Method 1: Changing the Brightness in Windows 10/11 Setting

You can control the brightness in Windows 10/11 by going to Settings.

To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Hold down the Windows key and press I to open Settings.

  1. The Brightness slider is located below Brightness and Color. Moving to the left will dim the screen, and moving to the right will brighten it.

Is Slider not Working?

1- There are two reasons why the slider might not work. When using an external monitor, you can adjust the brightness with the buttons.

2- If the monitor is not updated, you will need to update the driver. Ensure that you’re using the latest drivers for your monitor or display.

Method 2: Adjust Brightness With  Monitor-Button

If you find that the brightness on your best monitor is too low or too high, you can use the buttons on the monitor to adjust it. Most monitors will have a button that says “brightness” or “backlight.” Pressing this button will usually increase or decrease the brightness. You may need to press the button multiple times to get the brightness to your desired level.

If your monitor does not have a button for adjusting the brightness, you can usually find this option in the menu when you press the “menu” button on the monitor. Once you have found the brightness setting in the menu, you can use the plus and minus buttons to adjust the level.

If you are still having trouble adjusting the brightness, you can try using your computer’s keyboard buttons. Many keyboards have a key that says “bright” or “brightness.” Pressing this key will usually increase or decrease the brightness of your curved monitor

Method 3:  Use Windows Mobility Center to Change Monitor Brightness

If you want to adjust the brightness of your screen, you can do so through the Windows Mobility Center. To access the Windows Mobility Center, press the Windows key + X on your keyboard or right-click on the Start button and select “Mobility Center” from the menu.

Once you’re in the Windows Mobility Center, you can use the slider under “Brightness” to adjust the brightness of your screen.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. To open Settings, press Windows key + I. Select the System option.
  2. Choose either Battery or Power & Battery, depending on the version of Windows you are using.
  3. If you are using Windows 10, choose Battery saver, or if you are using Windows 11, select Battery saver.

You might be able to adjust your computer’s brightness using the shortcuts on the main keyboard. It’ll probably work on a laptop too. Look at your function keys – a sun icon usually represents brightness. You can use this to increase your productivity on your keyboard.

Depending on your keyboard model, you will need to use a specific key combination. The Fn key may need to be held down or activated, then pressed along with the corresponding function key.

Method 7: Brightness can be Changed in the Command Prompt

You can use Command Prompt to adjust your brightness if you want. If the other methods listed here are not available, you can use this.

Open the Command Prompt by searching for cmd in the system search. Type the following:

Powershell (Get-WmiObject -Namespace root/WMI -Class WmiMonitorBrightnessMethods).WmiSetBrightness(1,100)

If you want the brightness to be different from 100, change 100 to whatever percent you desire, and then press Enter to send the command.
